What Can I Do at the Antalya Archaeology Museum?
The Antalya Museum has 2 floors and 14 exhibition halls displayed over 30,000 square meters. The sculptures and other artifacts are exhibited both indoors and in open air galleries. The exposition of the museum is organized chronologically and thematically. The space is modern and spacious. Tip: A visit to see the entire museum will take a minimum of two hours. Prehistoric Hall: This section is organized to exhibit objects found in settlements like Karain Cave, Okuzin, and Semahoyuk. These all come from the period of human history before the discovery of writing. The fossils found around these settlement give you idea about what kind of animal species lived during the Prehistoric Ages.
Coins, Small Artifacts and Icons Hall: Coins from the Pamphylia, Pisidia, and Lycia regions, as well as Elmalı Coins, Turkic Beyliks, Anatolian Seljuk, and Ottoman coins are exhibited.
Children's room: This hall is especially for children, where they can see toys from antiquity.
Statues of Greek Gods and Goddesses: In this hall, you will see about 20 sculptures of gods and goddesses mentioned in Greek mythology. They were brought from ancient cities around Antalya.
Roman Imperial Statues: This is a spectacular hall with priceless statues of emperors, empresses, and other prominent political figures from Roman times found in the ancient city of Perge. The statue of dancing women and Emperor Hadrianus is one of the most famous ones.
Regional Excavations Hall: Numerous rescue excavations and archaeological landscaping works in the region are carried out by the Antalya Museum. In this section, artifacts from archaeological excavations in ancient sites around the Lycia, Pamphylia and Pisidia regions are displayed.
Mosaics Hall: You should not miss the famous artifact called "mosaic of the philosophers" in this section.
Theater of Perge: Exhibits monumental sculptural pieces from the ancient theater of Perge. Here, the reliefs of the friezes really stand out. One of the findings from Perge is the sumptuous statue of Marsyas that is standing in the middle of the hall.
Hall of Sarcophagi: Most of the sarcophagi exhibited in this hall were found in the excavation of the Perge necropolis.

Entrance: The museum can be visited everyday, from April to October between 08:30 -18:45 and from October to April between 08:30 to 17:30.
